Apologies that this may be a long post and lots to think about. It’s also something that others have probably asked before. But this will be a brain dump of things I’m thinking about and trying to make some large decisions on.
I’m 90% certain Wappler is the direction we want to go. There are a few QoL upgrades I’ll probably put into the feature requests (Mostly around docker), but they aren’t blockers.
The main thing I’m struggling with on researching platforms is what is available outside of Bubble and Wappler for Rapid Application Development and the low-code / no-code full stack development? Ever other no-code or low-code environment I have found are either focused on internal applications and don’t handle SaaS style things, front-end apps only and you have to bring your own backend, or design only. There are a few others out there like AirTable and such but those are basically super powered spread sheets or like MS Access.
Does anyone have any other full stack low-code/no-code platforms they considered before that would allow building a SaaS and Mobile Apps?
I’m currently working on a starter application for Wappler that would solve some of the things I miss from Bubble such as the quick development without having to worry about user auth and such. I’ll be releasing this starter app for free on GitHub when it is done.
I really like the idea of low-code/no-code development platforms. I’m Senior Software Engineer doing traditional development for my day job, and I don’t really want to spend time implementing all of the API stuff and backend things. I just want to be able to craft the application quickly and get to delivering on these ideas we have.
I guess what I’m trying to do is move from 90% to 100% sure wappler is the platform for myself and my business partner.
