Routes not being added to .htaccess file

Wappler Version : 2.1.7
Operating System : Mac OS

Expected behavior

What do you think should happen?

When adding a new route in the routes panel it should be added to the .htaccess file.

Actual behavior

What actually happens?

Note: route is available in the link selectors it is just not being added to the .htaccess file therefore gives a 404 error when going to the page.
