Resizing Multiple Images on Upload

I am following this tutorial:

And all is well. My question is that I have to resize all the images to create thumbnails and save large and thumbnail versions of the images. I know how to do that as well. But my trouble is in a multi-upload where do I place all the image processing steps? Before or after the repeat?
