Switching between V4 and V5 Extension Update Project Assets Update - Learning

I wanted to test the slideshow component not working v5B6 so I went back to V4.91. When I open 4.91 I greeted with Project Asset Update dialogue and an Extension update in the title bar.

I have been primary using v5. With 4.91 being locked, why are these updates these new component being updated?
