CONTROL-W Command Closes Program

Expected behavior

USING COMMAND CONTROL-W SHOULD CLOSE DOCUMENT

Actual behavior

USING CONTROL-W CLOSES PROGRAM - looks to be a crash type closing, happens frequently.

When working, simply using the control-w keyboard shortcut closes the program. I am certain that I am not using the CONTROL-Q command.
