I’m using Portainer as a visual / GUI interface for Docker management on my Mac.
I noticed that under the Network section of Portainer there are three Public networks showing up (bridge, host and none)…
Portainer’s definition of “public” is…
This resource can be managed by any user with access to this endpoint.
I’m not entirely certain what that means, but it doesn’t sound so secure.
I came across a Portainer tutorial on YouTube and when the tutor clicked on the networks section the same 3 networks were not public, but administrator only…
I would like to know if I have a potential security issue with these networks being set to public (I can’t find a way in Portainer to set them to admin only).
Would love to hear from @George or @JonL on this as they’re both Portainer users I believe.
Much appreciated!
