How to set up multiple websites using a single mySQL database with Docker

I am developing multiple websites pointing to a common database. How would I accomplish this using DockerOcean hosting? Would I create a droplet for each site and another for the database? The thing to keep in mind is that the database could easily expand into GBs or even TBs of records.
