Insert page with several columns

Sorry if the topic is already discussed, but I have not found what I was looking for
Normally I use the Form Generator to create record insertion and / or update pages.
But in some cases I would like to create insertion pages with fields arranged on several columns.
I would like to know if it is possible to obtain this result with the generator or if instead it is necessary to use Form Row creating and associating all the fields one by one
And in this case what is the most correct procedure to do it?
