Ok, this will be my final post on the eCommerce tools or lack of in Wappler.
I have one week left to inform a client if I can redo their site or not before their AGM. (Been putting it off for two years now) So, even though I am sure I cannot do it, I am going to try. I need to know what my best plan of attack is. Please don’t link to the tutorials on this, I have read them all many times. Stripe tutorials as well. I am even more confused after reading them than I was before.
My need is very simple. I have a community theatre website and I have to sell theatre tickets to the plays online. To make it even simpler it is only one show at a time. So I need one item (name of show) with up to 12 options (show dates). I need to be able to add this to a cart, adjust quantity, checkout to Stripe Checkout or PayPal. Both client and purchaser should get an email with purchase details. Thats it. I do not need any shipping or taxes or anything like that. Just a simple one product, add to cart and checkout. Should be very simple.
Do I have to have my products in a database or do I administer my products from the Stripe dashboard?
- If I add my products to the Stripe Dashboard, how do I add them to my site?
- If I had my products to the Stripe Dashboard, how do I enter product options? Or do I have to enter in a product for each date?
I do not need to track any purchases in a database (but it’s ok if that is an easier way to go). I do need in the confirmation email that both parties get is the purchaser name and product.
- Does the Stripe purchase email confirmation go to both parties and contain that information?
- Is there a Stripe transaction email that goes to both parties?
Can this all be done without custom hand coding?
Suppose I get a cart working, how do you test to make sure checkout is working?
As you can see, my needs are very basic. I just have no idea where to start or how to set this up.
Current Website is: https://wlstudiotheatre.ca/
Anyone have any thoughts on where I would start? Much appreciated in advance.
