What’s New

In this update we have finalized the New Design View and Monaco Code Editor. All the reported issues have been fixed!
Now we are entering the last week for them in the experimental mode and if no other urgent problems are found, next week we will release them as full replacement of the old code editor.
So if you have some issues - now is the time to report them.

Finalized Docker Machines integration in Project Targets - now you can fully create servers (docker machines) with Digital Ocean or local with Hyper-V on Windows

Furthermore we have greatly optimized the editor file saving and changes detection.
Now files are smartly watched and refreshed automatically in design view or code editor - even if they are changed externally.

Next to the many improvements and bug fixes in the included extensions, we also have improved greatly the support for ASP.NET in Server Connect.

General

• Greatly improved in editor open files detection change with automatic refresh
• Check for changes on load content (use new file content when file was not dirty)

New Design & Monaco Code View

• Improved rendering and state detection in Design View. Empty elements are now detected much batter and placeholders are shown.
• New global option to format code on save. Will pretty format all known code files like html, javascript, pure php code only
• Improvements in for the html code editor
• Improvements selection synchronization and scroll positioning
• Improved status bar component
• Improved loading of code fonts in the Monaco Editor for optimized rendering

Design Panel

• Fixed z-index property in design panel
• Improved stylesheets parsing when trying to get styles in design panel. Was resulting in empty panel in rare occasions.
• Save css directly to file when the file is not dirty, even if it is open in a separate tab

Docker Machines Manager

• Finalized Docker Machines integration in Project Targets
• Add support for installing local Hyper-V machine on Windows
• Implement initial Services deploy in Docker Machines. Currently Portainer as choice
• Added more commands to start, stop, restart and kill docker machines

File Manager

• Auto add frameworks also for files server side files created in the File Manager

Routing Manager

• Fixed escaping of dynamic data expressions on route selections

Bootstrap 4

• Fixed Bootstrap 4 Navbar links to be correctly recognized as Nav Items, so they can be draggable
• Improved expression editing on UI grids with Data Picker from dialogs in Bootstrap 4 Form & Table Generators
