What’s New

As we are slowly approaching our major update of Wappler 3.0 in May, we will introduce you now to some of the new cool major features we have planned for you.

One of those major redesign features is a new Visual Expressions Builder! Now you can see an awesome new tag based expression builder in our Data Bindings picker! It allows you to combine and format dynamic fields much easier in a new visual way!

The Visual Expression Designer is available currently in the App Connect Data Picker only, but we will soon add it to all properties inspectors that have a dynamic data entry on them!
So check it out and let us know what you think about it. The Visual Expression Designer is available in preview mode only when you have the experimental features on.

Another great update is now with the App Connect Event Calendar! Now you can fully customize each calendar view with all the properties you want! So choose the exact layout that you want easy!

We have also added Bootstrap 4 tooltips support so you can add any tooltips you like on your calendar sources! Also for the tooltips contents and formatting now you have access to the fully dynamic data record that you have bound, so you can pick any of your own database fields and display on it as extended properties!

And last but not least you can now fully use Recurring Events!

New Visual Expressions Builder - as experimental feature now

• Now you can use visual data bindings tags to quickly and easy build your dynamic expressions! No need for complex quotes and strings escapes!
• All data fields in the expression are visually displayed as tags that you can add, edit or delete!
• Add easily text around the data tags to easy and visually build the dynamic expression text you want!
• Great styling of the expression tags. Blue tag indicates a simple local variable, orange a global variable and green a variable using formatters.

• Added many new options like: No Fixed Week Count, Event Order, Event Limit and Now Indicator
• Added support for Bootstrap 4 tooltips for the events!
• Allow view specific options to be defined per view!
• Add support for Recurring events. Now you can add them as dynamic for calendar source or per event

• Set all recurring events after a toggle in the calendar source dynamic events
• Added dynamic tooltips to all calendar sources! Now you can add different tooltips per calendar source
• Add data schema for the calendar source picker - now you can pick all the event data for your tooltip
• Add all dynamic data fields from the source selected in Event Source as dynamic data under event.extendedProps and available on the data picker
