Wappler 4.8.3 Inconsistent connections with my Database are driving me crazy.
HOW do I set up a Database Manager connection file to correlate to my specific Targets with FTP connections?
In other words, how do I make sure if I set up 3 different DB connections that they are properly linked to the different Target names I create?
While I am in the ONLINE SERVER Target I can not work with the APIs – Wappler tells me it can’t access tables that it is already accessing over in the DataManager view —
I doublecheck my connection – even successfully refreshing Schema – I can ask to See the Data online & immediately see my online records in those tables –
So after trying to open a table to check or change a query and getting a “No valid Database Connection” I get the “Please define it first in the Database Manager” – which is not the solution.
I am working in the only Project Online Server Target I have defined and all of the tables are connected and readily show me their data when I select to see the data.
But here’s where the separation Target Definitions from all Database Connection creation is troublesome.
In old Wappler you could ASSOCIATE the FTP connection for an online server target with its Database Connection specs.
If you chose to switch to your online or your staging or your local machine development Targets you knew that Wappler had locked in which database connector to use.
NOW I don’t know for sure if switching to my Online upload Target also switched to the database connection file .
I have to do a deep search into the files online to try to confirm that the correct matching database connector is present.
