Flows: Why Use a Server Connect Inside a Flow?

So I’m playing around with flows…

… and I’m wondering why I’d want to define and use a Server Connect inside a flow rather than just running one outside of a flow.

I’d also like to know if I have the same server connect with the same name inside and outside of a flow, is that likely to cause me any issues?
