Framework7: what are your plans for the near future?

When I read updates 3.2.2, I really wanted to believe that at last Wappler will have a really high-quality Fw7 integration. And all the power of this framework will be available, along with the amazing features of Wappler in terms of backend and frontend logic.

But now I see it didn’t happen. I have even encountered the fact that after this update I get more broken things than working ones.

There are currently 65 elements in Fw7. About 10 of the most basic ones are implemented in Wappler. About 17 more elements in Wappler overlap due to App Connect, because the elements are similar (but I note that sometimes the differences are noticeable). In total, about 35-38 elements are simply missing today in Wappler. This includes not only non-connected html templates, but also a large number of parameters and settings for each element, which are often set at the basic level of the application itself, as well as a large number of dependencies and relationships with other elements. In other words, a huge amount of work.

Without high-quality integration of all these elements, as well as convenient and correct work with them and their interaction with your App Conect, it is impossible to talk about convenient work on mobile applications in Wappler. But after the 3.2.2 update, when installing the latest version of Fw7 (which is integrated with App Connect), it became even more difficult to work than before. Now there are often situations when errors occur when initializing an element in an application file or when accessing internal Fw7 functions (for example, an internal router) due to a tight connection with App Connect. As a result, neither Wappler can create the element or functionality itself, nor I can implement it manually.

But these are all my personal feeling. Now something else is important.

I respect the Wappler team and really appreciate your work. I would be grateful if you can help me make a working decision by answering the question: what are your plans for the near future in terms of developing mobile tools? This question arises because today there is a feeling that the mobile tools for the Wappler team is not very interesting and they would like to focus on more important (from their point of view) things.

I have several major mobile projects under development. But the production time is extremely important to me. That’s why I’m constantly looking for mobile development tools that significantly save development time.

At the moment, I found an interesting tool: https://www.thoriumbuilder.com

It looks very good. But there is a key problem, it is only for Mac. I contacted the developer and found out that there is also a PC version in the plans, but it will not be in the very near future.

I began to seriously consider buying a Mac, only to put thoriumbuilder on it to speed up the application development process. But I would not like to do this, because the Mac is an expensive toy, and I have no other purposes for using it.

@George I would be very grateful if you could give me and the community more information about what your team plans for the very near future in terms of mobile tools?

Personally, this will help me make the right decision. Thank you in advance.
