Repeatly running APIs

First, nice on the new 1.9.6 update. Appreciate the prompt update. Second, is there a way to run an API repeatly, for example every 1 or 2 seconds directly on the interface? I can do it in Javascript, but was wondering if there’s an option to do it directly. Thanks in advance.
