Server Side Data - bindings for form values etc

I’m just getting to grips with aspects of NodeJS. What I’d like to know, is whether there’s an easy way of using data that’s in the ‘Server Side Data’ query to populate a form value or other dmx binding? I can’t see it being available in the data pickers. I’ve found, from a little playing, that you can manually add it as a static value e.g. value="<%=_('userdatavalue',locals)%>" but you have to do it manually and therefore know the full path to each value.

I appreciate you could run a SC on the page to get the data but if it is common data that’s available there already, it seem like duplication to me.

I may well be missing something so please let me know if there’s a better way.
