Should formatters be included with App Connect?

There was a thread earlier where some code was copied from one project to another. The copying process meant that formatters were used but the head hadn’t been updated to include the relevant javascript and cause the page to fail. I have had this a couple of times, causing some furrowed brows and wasted time.

It made me wonder… has anyone ever created a page where zero formatters were used (not even for a dynamic copyright date) and the size of the JS file, had it been included, would have been problematic? I appreciate the need to keep things lightweight but is there an argument for it to be included as standard if App Connect is included?
